Looking For An Easy At Home Date Idea?
If you’re new here… weeknights tend to feel the same around here. We make a quick dinner, tune into some TV time, & then lights out. To combat this, I plan an at home date for my husband and I each week. Sometimes the date is more elaborate and sometimes more simple. The goal is to find new and unique ways to prioritize the most important person in my life & encourage you to do the same! This week’s date is themed around the movie “The Notebook”.
Everything I Personally Used For This At Home Date:

Activities: What We Did During The Date
- Listened to music while we drank some wine.
- Used the “love letter kit” to write future notes to ourselves.
- Cozied up on the couch & watched “The Notebook”.
- Had meaningful conversation with the convo starters below!
Watch Me Set Up The Date Here:
Convo Starters: Intentional Questions To Ask Your Partner
- Do you enjoy writing and/or receiving love letters and notes? Why?
- What’s your favorite small gesture to receive from me? Why?
- What do you think the scariest part of “love” is? Why?
- What do you think our life will look like when we’re 80? Why?
- Share your thoughts on the movie! (Especially the ending…)
Some Final Thoughts
Making simple nights extraordinary doesn’t have to be complicated. I hope this date night idea serves as some encouragement for you to connect with your partner during the week.
I’ll see you here for next week’s weeknight-in idea! Happy intentional connecting, friends!
Love, Megan
