Worst phrase to hear during the week? I'll go first... "What do you want to watch tonight?" Gag.
If you're also tired of living the same weekday on repeat, you're in the right place. A mid-week at-home date is a life-changer. Each week I share a new themed date. This week's is a "snow on the beach" themed date. Everything you need to plan it yourself is below!

Watch Our Date:
Step-By-Step Date:
1. Make some drinks!

We made a creamy Piña Colada with this date! You can make it as a mocktail or cocktail. Grab the recipe for both here.
2. Start on dinner and/or snacks.

We kept it easy this week & went with some "beach snacks". We just filled up out snackle box (which we use at the beach!) with our favorite snacks & called it a night.
3. Play the "snowball" game!

This one's simple, but so fun!
How to win: get more "snowballs" into your bowl before the timer runs out.
The rules: You can only move the cotton balls by using the straw to suck in & blow them out. We set the timer for 1 minute & did 3 rounds! (Loser has the clean the kitchen that night!)
4. Set up your "beach".

You can make this totally your own! We used our favorite foldable mattress & put some beach towels on top of it alongside our couch pillows.
5. Go through the connection questions.
Putting phones away is super important during this portion of the date. All of this week's connection questions are listed at the bottom of this post!

We listened to some beach waves on YouTube during our questions, but you could also throw on a date night playlist if you'd like!
6. Watch your movie & enjoy your snacks.
Here are a few beach themed movies you might enjoy:
1. Safe Haven
2. Baywatch
3. Jaws
4. 50 First Dates
5. Castaway
6. Mama Mia
7. Just Go With It
8. Pirates of the Caribbean

Drink of the Week:

A beach-y drink was a non-negotiable for this date night, and nothing screams beach day like a Piña Colada. This recipe a creamy combo of pineapple and coconut & it's delish. Enjoy!
P.S. We have both a cocktail & mocktail version listed!
Questions To Ask Your Spouse:
1. If we were snowed in together for a weekend with no responsibilities, how would you want to spend that time? Why?
2. You're stuck on an island for a week and you get to send me a message in a bottle. It can only be 2 sentences. What does it say?
3. What's a "winter season" (challenging time) in our relationship that you feel we've grown stronger from? Tell me why.
4. When "waves" enter our lives, how do you feel like we support each other? How could I support you better?
5. What would you describe as the "snowflake" of our relationship? (The thing that makes us truly unique together.) Why?
