Everyone loves having flowers in their home and outdoors, but the upkeep can be time consuming and expensive. We are huge fans of faux flowers!
These are my favorite real looking fake flowers to use in your home and outdoors. We shared our favorite faux florals for each season.
This post is about real looking fake flowers.
Why Should I Consider Faux Florals?

Faux florals are a stylish and maintenance alternative to fresh flowers while offering long-lasting beauty without the need for watering or sunlight. They are ideal for anyone with allergies or for spots in the home that plants wouldn't thrive in. High quality faux flowers look incredibly realistic and can be easily swapped out seasonally for a refresh in your home!
Real Looking Fake Flowers: Spring
Peonies
I love peonies, but they are only in season for a couple of months! Faux peonies are such a great solution if you are wanting them to last all year long. I typically lean towards blush or white peonies especially because they look more real.
Tulips
I've been using faux tulips for ages! I actually enjoy having faux tulips more than real ones because of the structure and how they lay in vases. I have these exact tulips from Amazon, and I get so many compliments!
Ranunculus
These are such a whimsical and beautiful flower for the warmer months. If you are looking for real looking fake flowers bouquet inspiration, you've probably seen these flowers. Ranunculus are such a great filler flower, but they also work for a whole bouquet!
Daffodils
Faux daffodils are a perfect way to welcome Spring into your home without worrying about them wilting. The bright yellow petals add instant warmth to a room. They are perfect for early season decorating when fresh daffodils aren't always available yet.
Lilacs
Everyone loves real lilacs because of how full they are, but they tend to wilt quickly once cut. Faux lilacs, on the other hand, offer the same soft and romantic look! They also can bring a vintage charm to Spring arrangements.
Real Looking Fake Flowers: Summer
Hydrangeas
These are a summer favorite & one of my personal favorites! The trick with faux hydrangeas is finding the right petal texture and accurate color fading. Even though these flowers are summery, you can use them all year long!
Daisies
Faux daisies are playful and endlessly versatile. Their crisp white petals brighten up any space, and they last all year long! Unlike real daisies, these fake ones won't droop or brown!
Sunflowers
Sunflowers are perfect for the spring and summer time! Faux sunflowers are a great option because you don't need to worry about them shedding pollen or fading in the heat.
Lavender
We all love the smell of real lavender, but it dries out quickly! Faux lavender keeps it soft, and they'll look textured forever. This is a perfect way to add a calm and French country vibe to your space.
Poppies
With their delicate petals, poppies can be hard to maintain fresh. Faux versions capture the graceful movement without worrying about how fragile they are. There are so many available colors, but the soft pastels are the most realistic looking.
Calla Lilies
Fake calla lilies offer an elegant and timeless look. Real ones bruise easily and don't last long. The faux versions fix all of these problems. These are perfect for modern centerpieces or minimal arrangements.
Looking for something else?
Zinnias
Zinnias are full of personality and color! The faux versions allow you to enjoy their layered petals all year long. They look great with wildflower bouquets and bring a cottage-core feel to any space in your home!
Real Looking Fake Flowers: Fall

Dahlias
Faux dahlias are a showstopper in any arrangement! Their full and intricate petals offer so many bold color options! While real dahlias are short lived once cut, artifical dahlias maintain the structure for years.
Mums
Mums are such a fall staple! The real ones don't typically last long indoors, so faux mums are a great option. There are tons of fall colors to choose from without any upkeep. These also look great on wreaths and porch pots.
Roses
High-quality faux roses can look incredibly realistic with soft petals. Unlike real roses, the faux version hold their shape and elegance much longer. These are such a romantic staple for every season. I think the lighter white and blush colored roses look the most realistic.
Sedum
Fake sedum is a great option if you are wanting to add texture and muted earthy tone to arrangements. These are especially perfect for fall and winter months. Real sedum can be messy while not holding their shape.
Cosmos
Cosmos have such a whimsical and airy quality. Faux versions maintain that delicate charm without the risk of drooping. They are available in rich fall colors like deep orange and burgundy.
Real Looking Fake Flowers: Winter
Cherry Blossom
Real cherry blossoms are delicate, but faux ones keep their soft pink blooms in a long-lasting form. They are perfect for spring or winter decorating when you want to make a statement with something light and airy. A tall vase with branches offer a dramatic display.
Poinsettia
Poinsettias are a holiday classic that everyone loves! Faux ones won't drop leaves or fade like the real ones. They are available in red and white, but red ones typically look the most realistic. These are perfect for mantels, entryways, or dining tables. You can store, and use these every year!
Berry Stems
Faux berry stems are perfect for adding texture and seasonal colors to arrangements, wreaths, and garlands. Real berries often fall off or attract bugs. Artificial versions stay intact and vibrant throughout fall and winter. They are especially beautiful when layered with dried florals.
Camellias
Faux camellias offer soft and full blooms that feel timeless and elegant in winter whites, pinks, and reds. Real camellias are sensitive to temperature and difficult to keep alive indoors.
