Description

This vibrant pomegranate margarita is sweet, tart, and perfectly icy. It’s essentially a grown up slushy (without that overly-sweet flavor!) that’s perfect for parties, holidays, or warm-weather happy hours. You can make this recipe for one, or batch it for a group!

Ingredients

Scale

2 oz – tequila (blanco or reposado)

½ oz – Cointreau (or triple sec)

1 oz – agave syrup

1 oz – fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

2 oz – pomegranate juice

1 cup (handful) – ice

Sugar or salt, for rimming the glass

Lime wedge or wheel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend the Margarita:
Add tequila, Cointreau, agave syrup, lime juice, pomegranate juice, and ice to a high-speed blender. Blend on high for 20–30 seconds, or until smooth and slushy.
  2. Prep the Glass:
Run a lime wedge around the rim of your margarita glass. Dip the rim in sugar or salt—your choice.
  3. Serve:
Pour the frozen pomegranate margarita into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge. Cheers!
