1. Choose Color or Paint if Needed
Pick grids in a color that matches your windows (commonly white or black). If you need a custom color (like beige), use a shellac primer (BIN or similar) and paint them before installing.
2. Prep the Space
Clean your window before you jump into this DIY. You'll want your window to be spotless. Make sure to let your window completely dry before you begin installing.

3. Measure Window & Find the Center
You can begin measuring now. Make sure you are measuring the glass on your window from left to right, so it's completely even. Mark the exact center point where your vertical strip will go.
4. Apply the Vertical Grid Strip
Peel back a small corner of the grid, align it as the center, and slowly press it onto the glass. Use a level to ensure it's perfectly straight.
5. Trim the Grid Strip
Use miter shears (preferred for clean cuts) or scissors to trim the strip to fit the window height exactly.
6. Install Horizontal Grid Strips
Measure from the edge of the glass to the vertical center strip. Start in the middle and attach each horizontal strip across. I recommend using a level for accuracy, and repeat on both sides.
7. Check for Alignment
Ensure all pieces are straight and seams match across all windows. Avoid peeling and re-sticking multiple times to preserve adhesive strength.
