Description

Sweet & savory, this burrata appetizer is one you’ll definitely want to save for later! It’s creamy, cheesy, sweet, herby, and basically everything you want in a good app. You serve this light & complex appetizer with some toasty naan bread!

Ingredients

  • Burrata – 8oz container (about 2 burrata balls)
  • Honeycomb (1/4 cup of honey if substituting)
  • Thyme
  • Sunflower seeds – 1/4 cup
  • Naan bread – 2 large pieces or 6 mini pieces
  • Flake salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Toast naan bread for ~5-8 minutes. Remove early if lightly toasted sooner.

2. Warm a small pan on low/medium heat for 3 minutes. Add 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds to the pan and stir continuously to avoid burning. Once lightly browned and toasted (about 4 minutes) immediately remove from heat.

3. Add burrata balls to a serving bowl. Score them along the tops creating a cross/x pattern. Gently peel back the top layer to expose the inside of the burrata.

4. Cut honeycomb into quarter sized chunks. Add desired amount of honeycomb to the top of your burrata.

5. Top with toasted sunflower seeds, fresh thyme, and flake salt to taste.

6. Use a serving spoon to scoop bite sized amounts onto naan bread. Enjoy!
