Burrata Appetizer How-To:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Toast naan bread for ~5-8 minutes. Remove early if lightly toasted.
2. Warm a small pan on low/medium heat for 3 minutes. Add 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds to the pan and stir continuously to avoid burning. Once lightly browned and toasted, about 4 minutes, immediately remove from heat.
3. Add burrata balls to a serving bowl. Score them along the tops creating a cross/x pattern. Gently peel back the top layer to expose the inside of the burrata.
4. Cut honeycomb into quarter sized chunks. Add desired amount of honeycomb to the top of your burrata.
5. Top with toasted sunflower seeds, fresh thyme, and flake salt. Use a serving spoon to scoop bite sized amounts onto naan bread. Enjoy!

Recipe FAQs:
What is burrata?
Burrata is a ball of mozzarella cheese that is stuffed with stracciatella which is shredded mozzarella soaked in cream. (YUM) It's a delicious, soft, and creamy cheese with a mild flavor that pairs well with tons of other flavors!
What does honeycomb taste like?
Honeycomb is delicious! It has an incredibly sweet honey flavor, but the comb itself adds a nice nutty depth & texture to it. It tastes amazing, has health benefits, & looks gorgeous when plated!
Can you substitute honeycomb in the recipe?
You can skip the honeycomb & just use honey if you need to. We do it often & it's still delicious!

What other substitutions can be made in the recipe?
You can use goat cheese instead of burrata for a tangier flavor. Any seed or nut can be subbed in place of the sunflower seeds. Instead of thyme (or in addition to) you can use any herbs you enjoy!
What other cheese can I use in place of burrata?
Any soft cheese works great & adds a different flavor! Some of our favorites include: goat cheese, cream cheese, marscapone, etc.

So good! Curious if just mozzarella instead of burrata would be good? It’s tough for me to find burrata at my local store sometimes.
You could, but it wouldn’t “spread” the same without the creaminess. I’d recommend softer cheeses first (goat, cream cheese, etc.). If you’re set on mozzarella, maybe add a bit more honey & cut into slices or chunks before serving! 🙂
