Step-By-Step Date Guide:
1. Make your drinks!

I had to stick to my Illinois roots for this week's drink-of-the-week! We're doing the Chicago-Style Old Fashioned. Some also call it "Prohibition-Style". Whatever you call it, it's delish & super simple to make. You can grab the recipe here!
2. Start on dinner and/or snacks.
If you're looking for an on-theme meal, I'd recommend an Italian-beef! You could pick one up or grab a frozen Buona package at your local grocer & pop it in the crock-pot in the morning.
For a snack, grab some Chicago-style popcorn!
3. Start your activity: personalizing aprons!

We decided to order these navy blue "The Bear" inspired aprons & try our hand at embroidery! (We could use some improvement lol, BUT it was incredibly fun trying a new skill together!) All you need is this beginner-friendly embroidery kit.
Recommendation: Swap aprons & embroider your partners OR don't share what you're embroidering until you do a final reveal!
4. Watch The Bear & enjoy your snacks!

You can watch this season of The Bear on Hulu or Disney+!
5. Go through the connection questions.
Putting phones away is super important during this portion of the date. All of this week's connection questions are listed below.
Conversation Starters:
1. What’s something you’ve inherited—emotionally or mentally—from your family that still affects how you show up in our relationship?
2. What does ‘success’ feel like to you—not look like, but feel like? When was the last time you felt it?
3. What role does grief—whether obvious or quiet—play in your life right now? How do you carry it?
4. If our relationship were a restaurant, what kind of place would it be?
5. You're opening a restaurant... What is the name? What are you serving? What does it look like?
6. What are we each “chasing” in life right now. How do those chases intersect or compete?
7. Who would you say plays the role of head chef and sous chef in our relationship? Does this change often? How does this balance feel to you?
8. Which character do you identify most with from The Bear? Why?
9. Which character do you identify least with or dislike the most? Why?
10. What scares you most about letting yourself be fully seen? Do you feel this with me?
