Worst phrase to hear during the week? I'll go first... "What do you want to watch tonight?" Gag.
If you're also tired of living the same weekday on repeat, you're in the right place. A mid-week at-home date is a life-changer. Each week I share a new themed date. This week's is a "Summer In Maine" themed date. Everything you need to plan it yourself is below!

Step-By-Step Date:
1. Make some drinks!

This week we made a jammy blueberry margarita! It's super easy to make & not too sweet. You can grab the recipe here. (P.S. there is a batch recipe too!)
2. Start on dinner.

For this date we went all out on the food! You can do any variation of these recipes (whatever works for your week!). We started with an arugula salad, then we made lobster rolls as our main, and finished with the cutest personal blueberry pies! Recipes are linked below for you:

3. Write A Message In A Bottle!
Take some time to write eachother a "message in a bottle" that you can read at a later date. The decanter can act as a shelf styling piece if you want too! You can either write a message together for your future selves to open up down the road, or write a message to one.
Feel free to make this part your own! Maybe you add to your decanter each week or each month? Anything goes!
4. Play "Go Fish".
A classic for a reason. This was a fun & easy activity to pair with a more involved cooking night. It was also perfect to jump in and out of during cooking!

5. Go through the connection questions.
Putting phones away is super important during this portion of the date. All of this week's connection questions are listed at the bottom of this post!
6. Watch your movie & enjoy your snacks.
We watched Safe Haven for our date, but here are some other movie ideas:
1. Safe Haven
2. Baywatch
3. Jaws
4. 50 First Dates
5. Castaway
6. Mama Mia
7. Just Go With It
8. Pirates of the Caribbean

Drink of the Week:

Nothing screams Maine like blueberries. We took our favorite classic marg recipe & put a jammy blueberry spin on it. It's subtle in sweetness and has a gorgeous color. You'll love it!
P.S. We have the single serve & batch recipes at the link below!
