This post is about kitchen countertops decor.
Kitchen Countertops: Decor Tips
1. Declutter
Before you start adding any decor items, you need to declutter! There are probably lots of unnecessary items on your counter top. Make sure you put everything away first, so you know exactly what spaces you want to decorate and improve.
2. Upgrading Everyday Items

There are certain items that you will always be looking at in your kitchen like your dish soap and hand soap. All of these functional items could use a nice upgrade where it still feels like decor. We upgraded our coffee station, and the outcome was everything we needed!
3. Organize
Organizing is a must before you start decorating! Without organization your kitchen countertops can look like it's full with clutter. Using trays and bowls create an intentional space for your items. I always use a tray for my dish soaps and a fruit bowl for my fruit.
4. Be Strategic About Appliances
Don't keep appliances out when you have storage options for them! The only extra appliance that we have sitting on our kitchen countertops is our espresso machine because it gets daily use. Store smaller appliances away in cabinets.
5. Be Selective With Storage

Get creative with all of your storage needs because some of these are shown more than you expect. When you find aesthetic storage options it's a game changer! This makes you love your space more. One of my favorite items in our home is our magazine/mail holder.
6. Decorate in 3's
It's super easy to pick out tons of decor items, but once you put all of them together it may not look the best. I've found it much easier to decorate in 3's because it doesn't overwhelm you with too many new decor pieces.

7. Adding Textures
Textures create an elevated look while also adding depth to the space. Since kitchens often have mainly smooth surfaces, textures are a must! Wood, linen, and woven textures are some of my favorites to include in this space.
8. Layering Is a Must

I love layering everyday items for kitchen countertops decor ideas! We used wood cutting boards and glass bottles for our everyday cooking oils. You can also add some height with by putting these bottles on a footed tray.
9. Displaying Flowers or Branches
Adding height in your kitchen is a must! One of my favorite ways to do this is by adding florals or tall branches. I typically like to use a tall vase to emphasize the height.
10. Add a Mini Bar or Coffee Bar

We created a mini coffee bar in our kitchen, and we love the space. You can use your espresso or coffee machine as functional decor especially when adding some intentional decor.

11. Display Items On Open Shelving
Open shelving is a life saver when you have limited storage. However, it's easy to allow your open shelves to look crowded. One way to avoid that is by adding decor items on your open shelves as well as everyday items!
Kitchen Countertops: Decor Items
Upgrading your everyday kitchen items will change your space so much! When you leave fruit out it can also create clutter. This is a fun way to add your style of choice into your kitchen. I love marble fruit bowls for kitchen countertops decor, but there are so many cute options.
Grab your favorite recipe book to leave on display. There are tons of cook stands to choose from, but my personal favorites are gold and wood options because of the charm.
Aesthetic canisters add the perfect element of decor to your everyday items. You can use canisters for flour, sugar, coffee, or even snacks. I love the look of glass and darker wood canisters!
Decorative trays can elevate your space so much especially by adding in different textures. The best part about these kitchen countertops decor items is that they are also functional storage.
Vases are perfect for your faux florals or branches! I love choosing options that create a height difference with all of my other decor items. This is a great addition to your kitchen countertop.
Upgrading your dish soap or hand soap with glass amber bottles will be a game changer! You can choose any kind of bottle that matches your aesthetic. This is a great way to upgrade your every day items.
Adding cutting boards against your countertop wall creates a charming space. These are also items you can use while cooking, but they work for just decor too! We styled our kitchen countertop with 2 wood cutting boards and olive oil!
This may be unexpected, but smaller framed art work adds charm and personality to your kitchen. I typically like to lean art work against the wall, but you could also hang the piece on the wall! We ended up framing a staple recipe in our family, and it added a personal touch!
Upgrade your knife set for a luxurious knife block! You can stack this on top of your favorite cook books or let it shine on it's own! My favorites are a sleek all black or wood because of the homey feel.
