The 4th of July is one of our favorite Holidays to celebrate! We came up with this list of the best activities to do while celebrating this year!
Whether you need 4th of July activities for the whole family or just the adults, this list has ideas for both. There are also several activities just for the kids too!
This post is about 4th of July activities.
4th Of July Activities: For Kids
1. Patriotic Crafting
Grab the markets, crayons, glue, and glitter for this one! There are tons of patriotic crafts that the kids can make. Some of the most common are painted wooden stars, fireworks crafts, paper plate American flag, and tie dying shirts.
2. Pin The Star On The Flag

This one is similar to pin the tail on the donkey just with a flag instead! The kids will be blindfolded, and they'll try to pin on a star. I love this game because it's super affordable, and it can get all the kids involved.
3. Face Painting
There are tons of face painting ideas for the 4th of July! Some of the kids favorites are an American flag, stars, uncle sam's hat, and a firework! You could take the kids somewhere to get face paint or you could do it yourself. Otherwise, there are lots of temporary tattoos that work too!
4. Water balloon Fight
It's not summer without a water balloon fight! All of the kids will have so much fun with this one. I definitely recommend planning ahead and filling up balloons earlier in the day, so it doesn't take too long.
5. Scavenger Hunt
Hide all sorts of patriotic items like mini American flags, uncle sam hats, mini liberty bells, patriotic ribbon, and more! Get creative with all the spots to hide these items, and the kids will have a blast!
6. Relay Race
Host a competitive relay race with all the kiddos! There are tons of games you could play, but some of my favorites are water balloon toss, wheelbarrow race, hula hoop relay, and potato sack race!
4th Of July Activities: For Adults
7. Patriotic Cocktail Party
Cocktails and good company are all you need for this holiday! Have all of your friends make a cocktail for the group. You can all vote for the best ones. Garnishing with red and blue fruit will be the perfect addition to these patriotic cocktails!
8. Tournament
Set up all of the classic yard games like corn hole, ladder toss, etc. for the best competition! Here is a list of lots of outdoor games to play this summer!
9. BBQ Cook-Off

Invite all your friends for a cook off! You can get creative with this one and customize it however you want. Everyone loves a healthy competition, and you get to try lots of food like burgers, hot dogs, and any other grilled dishes.
10. Patriotic Karaoke
Bring out the karaoke machine and sing all the classics! There's tons of American songs to add on your list, but I'm sure everyone will have a favorite. This is a great way to get all the adults involved.
